Born in Venezuela to a cellist mother, MonkeyMan grew up immersed in music. After hosting and producing radio shows in Caracas, he relocated to Oakland, California, where the Bay Area's underground scene opened him to a world of house, funk, soul, disco, and everything in between.

Now a staple on the circuit, MonkeyMan holds down a residency at Kenny Summit's club Compact Disco in Monterey. His high-energy sets fuse deep grooves with his Caribbean roots—no two are the same.

He's performed at venues from The Great Northern and Monarch to The Valencia Room, held a residency at Ruby Room in Oakland, been featured on Fault Radio San Francisco and La Casa Discoteca Radio Show, and shared the decks with Young Franco, Kenny Summit, Lady Ryan, Jayvi Velasco, and Gavin Hardkiss.
